Lake Ultimate Customer Value
Lake employs the finest talented professionals to discover the speciality products and processes that create technical and commercial value for our customers and suppliers.
I have to say that I was really impressed by the professional attitude and cooperation exhibited by your company. The deployment of the chemical was completed within the anticipated timescale and without incident.
You had a very arduous task to complete; particularly transferring the chemicals by hand to the upper levels of the boiler in what was probably the warmest week of the year so far and just got on and did it without complaint!
I have conveyed the same message to our client team and should the need arise for preservation of the next retired HRSG in 2020, I will be in contact to seek your services.

“All moulders know that an effective mould cooling system is key to high quality mouldings produced with consistently low cycle times. At Labone we are making technically demanding mouldings in competitive markets so performance is important. When using water cooling / heating, Inhibitors are essential to reduce the build-up of deposits from lime-scale and corrosion to preserve mould and heater life and reduce the time spent on cleaning both. However traditional glycols mixes are toxic and present a risk to personnel and a disposal issue. Also due to their high levels of concentrations (30-40% recommended) there is a significant cost associated with these materials.
Dean at Lake Engineering Solutions suggested changing to Cortec VpCI 649BD. It addresses all the environmental issues with no loss of performance and as it is designed to be used much lower concentration levels it’s saved Labone money. I wish we’d used it years ago.”

Lake Engineering Solutions provided all documentation and helped immensely with all technical aspects of EnviroRinse™ 201 in which both parties collaborated to successfully implement within STAG. We have now added EnviroRinse™ 201 to its standard wash and rinse procedure, applying this solution to every manufactured component.

’As part of a short term preservation issue two of our HRSG tube banks and header modules within the units required corrosion prevention, which involved partly applying dehumidifiers along with anti-corrosion measures this was to get through a cold winter period, to assist with this we had in recent years used Lake Engineering Solutions to provide and apply corrosion prevention to our tube banks inside the HRSG during long outage periods.
This technique had been used by our station some years ago during another long term preservation period and was very successful in reducing any corrosion within the unit and elimination of any corrosion dust prevention at start up.
